As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course.   Prompt Response:  I have learned a lot this semester, and what I liked the most was all the poems we were and learning a deeper meaning of the poems. Summary:  This semester helped me grow. I enjoyed assignments that allowed me to think deeper. Reflection:  I don't know what area i need to improve in just yet but I feel like when the next  semester get here Ill know.

Many holidays center around traditions. Describe one tradition that is important to you or your family and explain why it still matters (or why it no longer does).

Prompt Response:  Gathering together for christmas to share a big family meal and spend quality time together. Summary: Highlights how my family celebrates christmas through food. It emphasizes family unity and connection. Reflection:  It still matters because it reminds me of the importance of family. 

How have the holidays changed as you have grown older? Compare your experiences of the holidays during childhood with how you experience them now, focusing on shifts in perspective, responsibilities, or emotional meaning.

  Prompt Response:  When I was a child, holidays felt magical and carefree.I focused on opening gifts, eating food, and spending time with my family without worrying about school or responsibilties. Summary: Holidays have changed as I've gotten older. Reflection:  These changes show how growing up brings a deeper understanding of what holidays represent.

At the end of the novel, Celie reconnects with Nettie and forms more peaceful relationships with the people who once harmed her. Reflect on the theme of reconciliation. Have you ever restored a relationship, forgiven someone, or been forgiven in a way that changed you? How does the novel’s ending shape your understanding of forgiveness across different cultures or families?

Prompt Response:  Celie's reconnecting with nettie and others shows that forgiveness is about healing and not forgetting. She grow strong enough to let go of anger and choose peace. Summary: Celie reuniting with nettie and finding peace with people from her  past. Self-love and independence, celie is able to move forward. Reflection:  Forgiveness can look different in different families and cultures.

Prompt Response:  The song pretty girl rock brings a memory of a time when I was learning to feel confident in myself and learning how to love myself. Summary: Its a song about confidence, self-worth, and embracing beauty Reflection:  The song is meaningful to me because it reminds me how important self-confidence is. It shows that music can change how you feel and help you see yourself in a better light.
